All you Need in one Aussie Package jpkoala

JPKoala

If there is one man in the business of street entertainment who has the ability to perform to any group of people; whether it be a family audience or that adult crowd that need something a little more thrilling then J-P is your man.

J.PKoala
In a moment he can take an audience from awe to laughter. From delight to wonderment. From tears to joyous applause in one split second.

His juggling skills a legend within his own lifetime.

Balls, knives, whips and axes. And not just your common or garden axe a real deal Scottish double headed battle axe; something more likely last viewed in Lord of the Rings, rather than thrown twenty to thirty feet over his head. "Now that's what you call spectacular."

His charismatic personality will enthral whatever format his show follows. A circus show on the street or in a venue.

"Street comedy has never been this good."

Where, When and All the Rest

J-P has travelled the World and performed around most of it.

His love of the Edinburgh Fringe has brought him back now for ten years or more.
(I first met him around eight years ago and have been watching and photographing his show off and on ever since.)

He doesn't spend all his time in Edinburgh, normally it's an August run. He's here for the Fringe and his time spent performing at The Mound or on the High Street. This year 2008 he arrived early much is his love for performing to a Scottish audience

His list of "performed" in cities and countries is an A to Z of festival venues from around the world.

Australia, Belgium, Bermuda, Canada, England, France Germany, Holland, Ireland, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore and the USA .

J-P's show on the street (during the Fringe) runs for 45 minutes. All shows can be tailored to the audience, venue or location.

Performing on the beaches in Bermuda to the streets of Sydney and he spends "summer" in Scotland. "I think I'd rather be on a beach in Bermuda."

No I lie "I'd always rather be here in Edinburgh photographing J-P and everyone else that visits Edinburgh for the Fringe Festival."

A Collection of photos.

With an audience of hundreds his street shows play rain or shine. (In Scotland that could be more rain than shine)

In Australia that more likely shine. But his show always goes on.

Just a few random photos from my collection.

The input here is all mine. "I've not given J-P choice in the matter.

Kenny the Koala

His skill in Juggling is easily matched with his mastery of the bullwhip.

He'll show his skill by removing a cigarette from a voulanteers mouth; "well it's paws anyway."

Kenny the fluffy toy Koala has been his travelling companion and show side-kick now for as long as J-P has been performing.

Kenny is the true hero sitting there waiting for that first crack of the whip.

"I've watched audiences flinch at the first whip crack, had small dogs bark, but most of all it's the few seconds that are spent in total awe of this amazing moment that steals the show for me every time."
